February 5 - 18, 2001 Claudia Carolina has devoted her life to dance. Her early studies included ballet and related subjects at the National Ballet School, and music at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Claudia's extensive musical training, coupled with her years of experience as a performer, teacher, and exponent of Spanish dance, make her a unique person in the Canadian dance field. After university studies in music composition, she lived in Spain for ten years and studied Flamenco and Spanish dance, working with such famous artists and teachers as "La Tati", Monolete, Ricardo "El Veneno" Paco Fernanades, and the late Maria Alba. Ms. Carolina has worked and toured extensively in the tablaos of Spain and the concert halls of Europe, the Middle East, the USA, and Canada. She spent two years in New York City working at the New York City Opera, and appeared regularly at Le Chateau, the city's leading flamenco venue. In 1992 she produced the Flamenco ballet "Un Dia Anduluz" to critical acclaim in Toronto.
